Weekly Recap and Upcoming Week

This week we concluded our study of Regular Polygons and the Circle with lessons leading us to the conclusion that as the number of sides of a regular polygon increases, the more and more it looks like a circle. This discovery by mathematician Archimedes led to the more accurate formulas for the area and circumference of a circle that we use today.

The following assignment schedule was given to students for this past week:

Monday 4/8: Lesson 14.3: Problems 1-40

Tuesday 4/9 Lesson 14.4: Set I

Wednesday 4/10 Lesson 14.5: Set I

Thursday 4/11 Lesson 14.6: Set I

Friday 4/12 Lesson 14.6: Set II

Next week we will review Chapter 14 concepts to prepare for the Chapter Test (scheduled to be taken on Tuesday, April 16). On Wednesday, April 17 we will begin our study of Geometric Solids.

Have a blessed week!
