Teachers (Pre-K thru High School)

Full Time and Part Time Positions Available.

PURPOSE

To create a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in keeping with the Oak Grove mission and values; to implement the co-op’s chosen curriculum in partnership with parents with the goal of motivating students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for their education in higher grades in accordance with each student’s ability; to establish and maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Committed Christian with evidence of daily walk; willingness to sign the Oak Grove Statement of Faith.

  2. Bachelor’s Degree.

  3. Homeschool Experience Required.

  4. Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred.

  5. Desire to partner with homeschool parents in educating their children.

Assistant Teachers (Pre-K thru 4th)

Full Time and Part Time Positions Available.

PURPOSE

Assistant teachers at Oak Grove are professional educators whose primary functions are carried out within our classrooms. Although they may respond to the learning needs of individual students from time to time, the overall goal is to provide a more enriched classroom experience for every student. Assistant teachers are not merely support personnel for lead teachers (making copies, running errands, etc.). Their work is to be primarily student focused.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Committed Christian with evidence of daily walk; willingness to sign the Oak Grove Statement of Faith.

  2. Bachelor’s Degree.

  3. Homeschool Experience Required.

  4. Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred.

  5. Desire to partner with homeschool parents in educating their children.

Substitute Teachers (Pre-K thru High School)

PURPOSE

To support instruction during the absence of the teacher or assistant teacher. 

 

To maintain a class environment favorable to learning and personal growth in keeping with the Oak Grove mission and values.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Committed Christian with evidence of daily walk; willingness to sign the Oak Grove Statement of Faith.

  2. One year of college required.

  3. Homeschool Experience Preferred.

  4. Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred.

  5. Desire to partner with homeschool parents in educating their children.

High School Director

Part Time Position. Can be paired with teaching.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the High School Director is to support the co-op by taking the lead role in developing and managing the high school program (grades 9 through 12).

QUALIFICATIONS

  4. Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred.

Activities Director

Full Time or Part Time Position.

Part Time can be paired with teaching.

PURPOSE

The purpose of the Student Activities Director at Oak Grove Homeschool Cooperative is to support the co-op by taking a lead role in developing and managing the Friday U program, facilite the entrance of new families into the co-op community, oversee student life programs, and fulfill other administrative and logistical duties. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Committed Christian with evidence of daily walk; willingness to sign the Oak Grove Statement of Faith.

  2. Bachelor’s Degree.

  3. Homeschool Experience Required.

  4. Classroom Teaching Experience Preferred.

  5. Desire to partner with homeschool parents in educating their children.

Middle School Director

Part Time Position.

Can be paired with teaching.

PURPOSE

The School Director is the first-level “on call” administrator at each school when the assistant principal (or principal) is unavailable to respond to student and teacher classroom issues.

 

The primary purpose of the School Director is supporting the work of the assistant principal (or principal) with parents, administrators and other teachers to improve students’ experience and meet teaching objectives, all while teaching their own classes and mentoring new and inexperienced teachers.
