Welcome to my teacher page! I'm so excited to be at Oak Grove this year!

I'm Laura Johnson and this is my first year at Oak Grove Homeschool Cooperative. I will be teaching 3rd grade for the Red and Blue classes.

I am a married, 53 year old retired teacher. I taught middle school for 25.5 years and took early retirement in 2019. I worked as a boutique store manager for about 9 months and decided I missed children. I didn't want to go back to public schools, so I went into preschool. I worked at Maryville First Baptist Nursery before getting hired here at Oak Grove.

I am married to Richie, who is originally from Kentucky.  We've been happily married for 8 years. My son, Nate, is a junior at MTSU majoring in accounting. He is very active in Campus Outreach and his fraternity, Sigma Chi.

I have 3 puppies Lucy, Dezi, and Buddy.

I'm so blessed to be at Oak Grove! I feel God has led me here to do what he's called me to do-teach- and teach from the heart.
