Hello and Happy Sunday! 

 

We started the day with math worksheets for our morning work. Next, we had math centers which consisted of finishing their morning work, multiplication, mixed number and improper fractions. Then, we completed our spelling page. They are doing very well with spelling. I noticed the word "enough" was misspelled quite often, so we talked about this word briefly during lunch. Lastly, Mrs. Wolfe came to have their recorders lesson. They will be having their recital on May 10th at 10:30 a.m. They are beginning to prepare for their recital, so please have them bring their recorders and book each Friday. Thanks so much!

Then, Mrs. Wolfe came to have their recorders lesson. They will be having their recital on May 10th at 10:30. Please have them bring their recorders and book each Friday. Then, Mrs. Wolfe came to have their recorders lesson. (Please have your child bring their recorder and book each Friday.) After recorders, we had our devotional. We had a great Friday! 

 

We started the day with a long division worksheet for our morning work. We are going to review long division and practice this more moving forward. I want them to be really confident with long division as were are using it more in our lessons. Next, we had math centers which consisted of multiplication games. Then, Mrs. Wolfe came to have their recorders lesson. Lastly, we finished our day with spelling and lunch.

Hello, Friday families! 

 

Here is what we did this Friday: 

 

Writing Prompt: 

In your opinion, what is the best breakfast meal? 

I went around and read through most everyone's writing. I checked off if they stated their opinion, had three reasons, and a closing sentence. 

 

Math Stations: 

1. Place Value Guess Who? Game

2. Rounding to the underlined place value worksheet

3. Standard form, expanded form, word form Task Cards

4. Stem Building Station

 

Recorders - Please make sure your child has their recorder each Friday!

 

Devotion: 

We read a story from Hey! That's Not What the Bible Says! and then we read the actual story of Moses. 

 

Enrichment: 

We talked about Sequoyah, and we talked in Cherokee, translated words in Cherokee, and wrote in Cherokee.
